This blog follows the assembly of an all aluminium Van's RV-8A aerobatic 2 place aircraft kit. When completed, the aircraft is inspected by the 'Light Aircraft Association's' approved inspectors and when satisfactory is granted a permit to fly. Aircraft kit no. is #80697

This is the the Inboard end of the W-824. Note the 3/16" flange to wing trailing edge.

This photo provides a clearer view. The flanges of the W-824 are both of slightly different angles and it's easy to mix them up!

Initial fitting of the W-824 this is poorly documented except for the rivet spacing details along the upper wing skin.
