This blog follows the assembly of an all aluminium Van's RV-8A aerobatic 2 place aircraft kit. When completed, the aircraft is inspected by the 'Light Aircraft Association's' approved inspectors and when satisfactory is granted a permit to fly. Aircraft kit no. is #80697

Having waited almost 1 year to receive my finish kit, I ordered it in Dec. 2008 and received it in Nov 2009, I'm now ready to start building again.

The cause of the delay was an internal problem with fabrication and delivery of Vans QB's kits, but as I had consolidated my shipment to reduce costs, so I had to swallow the delay.

Big Misters handled everything concerning the importation and I cannot recommend them enough. There were 3 complete QB's 2 other kit's and pieces. Jon Woods of BM managed all the paper work and handled the Duty, VAT, Custom clearances too.
