This blog follows the assembly of an all aluminium Van's RV-8A aerobatic 2 place aircraft kit. When completed, the aircraft is inspected by the 'Light Aircraft Association's' approved inspectors and when satisfactory is granted a permit to fly. Aircraft kit no. is #80697

This picture shows that the first bend appears to be going well. Approx 75dgr. over it's time to use a very low pressure on the rivet gun using a flat head. You can see some tape to protect the lower tab (top) as it's often the case that the bend may slightly cause a snagging.

This is removed by a cut off wheel.
