This blog follows the assembly of an all aluminium Van's RV-8A aerobatic 2 place aircraft kit. When completed, the aircraft is inspected by the 'Light Aircraft Association's' approved inspectors and when satisfactory is granted a permit to fly. Aircraft kit no. is #80697

Elevators: Right skin ready for riveting stiffeners

Drilled/Deburred/Dimpled/Primed now ready for the stiffeners. Important not to mix this up as they are each matched drilled. On the right elevator each skin is a mirror of each other, so , confusion can easily occur if stiffeners are not marked/coded accordingly.
